FamilySearch.org   –  A free resource from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with millions of records and a collaborative family tree.

FindAGrave.com  – Useful for locating cemetery records and headstone photos.

USGenWeb Project  – Volunteer-driven county-by-county resources for U.S. genealogy. 

Contact the County Clerk’s Office, Registrar of Deeds, or local Historical Society in the area where your ancestors lived. These offices may hold:

• Birth, marriage, and death certificates
• Land deeds
• Probate records
• Old tax rolls
• School rosters
